- The Radiance Sutras
The Radiance Sutras is a modern translation of the ancient yogic text, the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra. In the text, Shiva, the divine masculine god, and Shakti, the divine feminine goddess, have a conversation about the nature of the universe. Theirs is a love song about play, desire, intimacy, connection and divine truth.
In this very special pilgrimage, we will use the Radiance Sutras as a framing and foundational text to deepen our experience of the magical place that is India. We will also visit sites that are sacred to specific incarnations of Shiva and Shakti. Our itinerary will include the following cities: Delhi, Kolkata (Calcutta), Varanasi, Agra (Taj Mahal), Vrindavan and Jaipur.
India is an amazing and beautiful place, but it can also challenge you and will definitely get you out of your comfort zone. This journey is meant to be a spiritual exploration and experience- not just a yoga retreat or a vacation. We will visit many holy sites and immerse ourselves in the cultural and spiritual traditions of the places we will be visiting. It promises to be an eye and heart opening experience.
We will be supported on our journey by the team at Lucky Uschi. Uschi Gibson and her partner Rakesh, host Yoga retreats and Pilgrimages in Varanasi, and all over Northern India and Nepal. Establishing their business to offer unique connections with local culture, rituals, and spirituality, they have been providing a safe container for Yoga studios and friends all over the world since 2010. You will be in very safe and comfortable hands!
