New Schedule starting September 2025!

2nd Story Pilates & Yoga

Sundays, 8:30-9:30am

YIN

We don't use the body to get into the pose. We use the pose to get into the body. -Bernie Clark

Yin yoga is a complementary practice to our vinyasa or hatha practice. Instead of using our muscles, yin yoga asks us to get into our connective tissues- what holds our muscles and bones together. Poses are held for time to allow for a gradual release but yin should not be confused with restorative yoga. Youโ€™ll feel a lot! But this profound practice is suitable for all levels of practice, including absolute beginners.

Sundays, 9:45-10:45am

YOGA FOUNDATIONS

Learn what all the hype is about! This class is devoted to the newcomer who wants to build their practice from the ground up. Students will explore breath practices, standing sequences, seated poses, and an introduction to backbends. This class is ideal for those who are new to yoga or for anyone who wants to brush up on the basics. (Beginner Friendly)

We will use props in this class. For friends at home, if you have yoga blocks and a bolster, great! If you donโ€™t, grab some bed pillows, and a few blankets or towels.

In studio & online.

Thursdays, 4:30-5:30pm

VINYASA FLOW

Turn your attention inward as you link your movement to your breath. Work up a sweat as you move through a dynamic series of postures. Open/Intermediate level.

Sundays, 6:00-7:15pm

YINYASA

Yin yoga is a complementary practice to our vinyasa or hatha practice. Instead of using our muscles, yin yoga asks us to get into our fascia, or connective tissues- what holds our muscles and bones together. Poses are held for time to allow for a gradual release. Unlike restorative yoga, you might feel quite a lot of sensation but this practice is great for all practitioners. We'll end class with a brief but vigorous flow, moving from fascia back into muscle, to find the balance between yin and yang.

Sacred Space Astoria

Mondays, 6:30-7:30pm

LEVEL II VINYASA

This class is suitable for those practitioners with an existing practice who are able to flow through poses more quickly. While some alignment will be reviewed as a reminder, this level is not suitable for complete beginners and will not include demonstration of poses.
